Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Technical Co-Founder

Bizcom Group | Action360 AI Governance Platform | AIRES Risk Platform

Early-Stage | Equity-Backed | Confidential Executive Search

Overview

Bizcom Group is an emerging AI governance and risk technology company building two platforms: AIRES, which is an AI Risk assessment platform launching soon and Action360, a SaaS platform designed to help organizations manage, monitor, and govern AI systems in line with rapidly evolving global regulatory and standards-based requirements. The platform is aligned with ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management Systems), the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and major regulatory regimes including the EU AI Act and forthcoming Canadian and U.S. AI regulations. The platform also leverages proprietary IP related to AI risk, LLM behavioral protocols, model monitoring, and human oversight.

The company has completed early pilots and is now entering a scale-up phase. As part of this transition, Bizcom is seeking a founder-level Chief Technology Officer to assume` full technical ownership of the platform and lead it through commercial launch and growth.

Role Mandate

This role combines the responsibilities of a day-to-day operational CTO with those of a technical co-founder. The successful candidate will define the long-term technical architecture, oversee current development efforts, and build an internal engineering capability over time. You will work closely with the Founders, early enterprise clients, and investors, and will be directly accountable for technical execution, scalability, and platform credibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the end-to-end technical architecture of a cloud-based, LLM-enabled AI Governance, Risk & Compliance (AI-GRC) platform.
  • Lead the technical design and delivery of core capabilities including continuous monitoring, audit trails, evidence management, legal & regulatory reporting, data aggregation & predictive analysis, control process optimization, auto-onboarding & evaluation, and AI risk discovery.
  • Oversee and support the development of Bizcom customized LLMs and frontier models including technical, training, performance, reliability and accuracy requirements.
  • Ensure the platform is architected to support ISO/IEC 42001 and future requirements and enterprise-grade auditability.
  • Embed security, reliability, compliance and privacy-by-design into all technical decisions.
  • Provide technical supervision, as needed, in the early stages, setting engineering standards, development practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide project leadership and delivery oversight to the current internal team and outsourced global software development team, ensuring architectural alignment, code quality, security standards, and execution discipline.
  • Establish engagement models, review processes, and transition plans as development, operations and design progressively shift to an internal Bizcom team.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing internal engineering, architecture, development, operations, and design team as the company scales.
  • Support enterprise pilots, customer technical discussions, investor-level technical due diligence and client maintenance requirements.
  • Architect and operationalize an AI-first product development engine that materially increases delivery throughput and compresses time-to-value, embedding AI across the full SDLC (design, coding, testing, deployment) with clear standards, tooling, and performance metrics.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience in senior software engineering and technology leadership roles, with demonstrated success and progression in responsibility.
  • Proven experience building and scaling advanced, commercial cloud-based SaaS and PaaS platforms.
  • Strong backend engineering and DB expertise, some preferably in the context of a DEV/OPS/SEC or site reliability role.
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying AI-enabled or agentic systems in production environments or ideally, for AI as a Service.
  • Strong project leadership/management skills and experience building an enterprise-grade development team.
  • Proven track record working in close partnership with product leadership.
  • Deep familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver systems that meet advanced security, privacy, audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Comfortable operating in early-stage environments with evolving priorities and limited structure.
  • Proven track record of deploying AI-augmented software development at scale, including hands-on experience integrating LLM-based tooling (e.g., copilots, agents, automated testing) into engineering workflows with measurable gains in velocity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Additional Experience (Preferred)

  • Exposure to ISO standards, NIST frameworks, SOC 2, or enterprise compliance programs.
  • Prior experience in a founding team or early-stage startup environment.
  • Experience working directly with a variety of technologies, customer types and industries, including enterprise, regulated, professional and health care.

Role Fit – Important Considerations

This role is best suited to individuals who are motivated by building from first principles and taking long-term ownership. It is not intended for candidates seeking a purely managerial CTO role, late-stage organizational stability, or mature platforms with established teams and processes.

Equity & Compensation

  • Founding-level equity participation in the range of 4–6% (fully diluted), commensurate with experience, scope, and level of commitment.
  • Equity subject to standard four-year vesting with a one-year cliff.
  • Salary compensation structured pragmatically in line with company stage.
  • Long-term upside directly tied to platform success and company growth.

Why This Opportunity

AI governance is rapidly becoming a core enterprise requirement as organizations transition from experimentation to production AI systems. AIRES and Action360 are positioned to become foundational infrastructure for trusted and compliant AI.

This role offers the opportunity to shape an emerging category, influence how global AI standards are operationalized, and build a durable technology business with strong regulatory tailwinds.
